Sometimes you don’t need a packed itinerary.
You just need a couple of days away, good food, beautiful scenery, a hot tub and absolutely nowhere you have to be.
If you’re planning a romantic weekend at Bumblebee Escapes, here’s how we’d spend it.
Friday — Arrive, Unpack & Switch Off
Arrive at your pod, unpack and officially put the outside world on hold.
There’s no need to rush straight back out.
Pop something nice in the fridge, put your comfiest clothes on and spend your first evening enjoying your own little space in the countryside.
Order a takeaway or bring something easy for dinner, pour a drink and finish the evening in your private hot tub.
Bee’s Tip: Don’t over-plan your first night. Part of the joy of a weekend away is having absolutely nowhere else to be.
Saturday Morning — Slow Breakfast & Hornsea
No alarms.
No rushing.
Start with a lazy breakfast before heading into Hornsea for the morning.
Have a wander around the town, browse some of the independent shops and stop for coffee and cake.
If the weather’s behaving, head down to the seafront afterwards for a walk along the beach.
Saturday Afternoon — Explore the Coast
From Hornsea, spend the afternoon exploring more of the East Yorkshire coastline.
You could head north towards Bridlington and Flamborough, stopping at viewpoints and beaches along the way.
For something especially beautiful, take a walk around Flamborough Head or Danes Dyke.
There’s no complicated itinerary here—just take your time, stop when somewhere catches your eye and enjoy having the day to yourselves.
Saturday Evening — Date Night
Head back, get changed and make Saturday night your date night.
Book a table somewhere lovely nearby and enjoy dinner without anybody asking you what’s for tea!
Then it’s back to Bumblebee Escapes.
Hot tub.
Something bubbly.
Stars overhead.
Perfect.
Sunday Morning — Brunch
Take Sunday slowly.
Head out for brunch or find a cosy café for coffee and something delicious before deciding where the day takes you.
If you fancy exploring somewhere different, Beverley makes a lovely Sunday destination.
Walk around the historic town centre, browse the independent shops and wander across Beverley Westwood.
Sunday Afternoon — One Last Adventure
Before heading home, squeeze in one final bit of East Yorkshire.
Depending on the weather and your mood:
Fancy the coast? Head to Fraisthorpe for a long beach walk.
Fancy countryside? Explore part of the Yorkshire Wolds.
Fancy shopping? Spend a little longer in Beverley.
Fancy doing absolutely nothing? Head back, make another coffee and enjoy your final few hours at Bumblebee Escapes.
We won’t judge.
Sometimes Two Days Is All You Need
A weekend away doesn’t have to involve ticking off every attraction within a 30-mile radius.
Sometimes the best trips are simply good food, long walks, spontaneous stops, slow mornings and spending proper time together.
And that’s exactly how we’d spend an adults-only weekend in East Yorkshire.
See you soon
Katie & Ben
